The Deerfield Valley is the heart of southern Vermont, nestled among the peaks of the Green Mountains. This panoramic image was taken from a viewpoint that not many people know about, located on Route 8 just south of its intersection with Route 9 in Searsburg, Vermont.

The body of water visible in the background about one third of the way in from the right is the Harriman Reservoir, located near Wilmington, Vermont.
