Over the Merced The Merced River winds its way through Yosemite Valley, here at a relatively low late-summer level. Its brown coloring contrasts with Yosemite's classic greens and grays, and the ever-present blue sky of summer.<br>

On the right side you can see Yosemite Falls -- or rather, you can see the location where you would see Yosemite Falls if you came to Yosemite in the spring or early summer. :) By September, the park's waterfalls have dried up or been reduced to mere trickles.
