Licensing and Purchase Information

Crafting the images you see on DesktopScenes.com is a labor of love for me, but it's not an inexpensive one. These SceneSets cost thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours to produce. Part of what makes it possible for me to keep creating new artwork is the support I receive from both individuals and companies who license or purchase my images for a variety of uses. Please read on if you are interested in doing the same.

Reminder: The images are yours to enjoy for free on the Web pages, but are not in the public domain and may not be copied, nor used for any commercial or other purpose, without my written permission.

Licensing Images

Electronic images from DesktopScenes.com have been used by customers for many purposes, including Web site backgrounds, product packaging, posters, music album covers, book covers and much more. The limit is only your imagination! Files can be provided in various sizes and aspect ratios, depending on the source photograph you are interested in.

If you want to use one of my images, please contact me and let me know what the project is and how you'd like to use the image. I'll get back to you promptly with a quote and/or request for information to allow me to create a quote.

To avoid confusion, please mention the serial number of each image you are interested in. These numbers are found at the bottom of the text descriptions for each image page. For example, the serial number of this image is "026782".

I want my images to be used, and thus try to keep my licensing fees very reasonable. I also routinely allow use of my images for free for charities and non-profits; again, please contact me for details.

Desktop Wallpaper

As a special thank you gift for those who support DesktopScenes.com financially, I will provide those who donate $10 or more to the site a custom-sized wallpaper background image of their choice. Just use one of the donation boxes in the SceneSet gallery, and I'll contact you directly to ask you what image you'd like and the screen size you'd prefer.

Purchasing Prints

By popular demand, I am now offering prints of my images for sale. These are custom-tailored to your specifications using a professional-grade print lab I've used for years, and shipped direct for you to frame and enjoy.

Pricing depends on the size and aspect ratio of the image desired, as well as volume. The viability of large images depends in turn on the resolution and sharpness of the original image, so each order will be handled on an individual basis.

My goal here is to help support my photography, but also to let my fans enjoy my work, and so I strive to keep my photo prices very reasonable. I sometimes allow use of my images at cost for charities and non-profits.

If you want to order a print, please contact me for details. As I mentioned above, please identify the image(s) you want using their serial numbers, which are shown at the bottom of the text descriptions for each image page. As an example, this image has a serial number of "031505".
