In July 2003, my wife and I were unexpectedly given a chance to travel to Bozeman, Montana so she could do some work for a company there. Having never been to that part of the United States, we seized the opportunity and went there for several days with our youngest son, then two.
We spent most of our time in the breathtaking Yellowstone National Park -- see Scenes From Yellowstone (2003) -- but Montana itself is also incredibly beautiful. We visited Hyalite Reservoir south of Bozeman, and on the day that my wife was working in town I took my son to the resort community of Big Sky, Montana.
This smaller SceneSet features the best of the images I took in our short time in Montana, arranged as a "virtual day" from sunrise to sunset. This screen saver will let you discover, as we did, why they call Montana "big sky country", with its many photographs emphasizing Montana's beautiful skies and varying weather conditions: clear blue, puffy fair-weather clouds, and storms.
